I made this on the final morning of my first photo trip of 2026. The challenge was working in high wind, too much to use a focusing cloth, and without a stable base to set up my tripod.

At the time I made this image I didn't expect much from it, I just wanted a "souvenir" to remember a fun but challenging 8 mile hike. However, it's been a nice negative to work with and I'm enjoying the potential for making big prints of this.
